Samurai World debut in Westworld Season 2, but how big of a role will the new park have?

Fans were delighted when Samurai World was hinted at in the Westworld Season 1 finale. However, we don’t know what its existence means for the future of the show. We haven’t seen the park itself, but we did see some of the parks hosts and the logo..

When HBO announced that Hiroyuki Sanada was cast as Musashi, it became clear that the park would be featured in Season 2. But, to what extent? Thankfully, we have  bits and pieces of information that might give us an idea. Without further ado, let’s look at what fans can expect from Samurai World in Westworld Season 2.

Will Samurai World Be Heavily Featured In Westworld Season 2?

When Samurai World was introduced in Westworld Season 1, many fans began to speculate about how many parks Delos owns. It’s true that several were featured in the original film, including Roman World and Medieval World. Unfortunately, the show’s creators have confirmed those 2 parks will not appear in Season 2.

For now, the only park besides Westworld that we know exists is Samurai World. Not only do we know it exists, but it’s HQ is in the same Delos facility as Westworld’s. The facility is monstrous, but it leaves the possibility open for some of the characters to crossover Samurai World. Since all hell has broken loose in Westworld, it’s probable that our favorite characters could end up in the other park – or vice versa.

Some fans voiced concern that introducing new parks might dilute the show. It’s a valid concern, but based on what we know, it’s likely that Samurai World will be used to emphasize how wide spread the hosts rebellion is. For Season 2, the show will likely focus on the characters established in the first season and build upon the lore.

Sadly, Samurai World will probably not be a huge part of Season 2, but it could be extremely important in future seasons. We still have a few months until Westworld Season 2 drops. Until then, we will continue to speculate on anything and everything Westworld.

Westworld Season 2 will premiere Spring 2018.
