Shannon Woodward Seemingly Hints At Elsie’s Fate On Social Media

Recently on social media, Shannon Woodward might have accidentally revealed her involvement on Westworld Season 2.

Shannon Woodward was a huge part of Westworld Season 1 and her character Elsie was a fan-favorite. Unfortunately, after a run-in with Bernard, we were unsure if Elsie was still alive. It’s a fair bet that she survived the encounter, but we can’t know for sure. We hoped that the new Westworld Season 2 Super Bowl trailer would give us a clue, but, alas, it didn’t.

While we haven’t received any official confirmation, Shannon Woodward’s recent activity on social media might give be our biggest hint yet. Recently, the actress has taken to both Twitter and Instagram to share several posts about Westworld. While she doesn’t say she’s returning outright, the posts seen to hint at Elsie’s fate – and future appearance on the show.

Shannon Woodward Seemingly Hints At Elsie’s Fate On Social Media

A few days prior to the Super Bowl, Entertainment Weekly announced that the new Westworld Season 2 trailer would drop during the big game. The HBO marketing machine ramped-up and started promoting the show’s new season all over the internet. Stars of the upcoming season of Westworld also took to social media, making sure their fans knew about the new trailer.

Oddly enough, Shannon Woodward was among those campaigning for the new season. Other than Woodward, HBO has confirmed that every cast member who was promoting the show will return for Season 2. So, does that mean she’s confirmed for Season 2? Not officially, but the following posts lead us to believe that it’s a strong possibility:

In addition to Woodward’s own posts, the official Westworld Twitter account also interacted with the actress. Sure, it was probably all in good fun, but for a character that is supposed to be dead, Woodward seems very involved with Season 2:

Based on her tweets, it seems like Woodward is invested in Season 2 to some degree. She could be having fun with fans, but it could be something more. If Elsie is alive, we probably won’t find out until the new season begins. For now, fans are divided on whether Elsie is alive, but we suspect that the character will return in Season 2.

We still have a few months until Westworld Season 2 drops. Until then, we will continue to speculate on anything and everything Westworld.
