Season 8 filming: See new images of the King’s Landing set in Belfast

The Game of Thrones production is currently hard at work building an enormous King’s Landing set at Titanic Studios at Belfast, Northern Ireland. And happily for us, when you’re building a city-sized set, you can’t exactly be discreet about it. Courtesy of our friends from Oak Leaf Photography, we have four new images of the most massive Game of Thrones set ever built:

We’re looking at the backs of the walls of the city here. The crane gives you an idea of the scale involved.

The archway probably stands in for one of the city’s gates. On the right, crew members do some touching up.

This tower has been the most prominent feature of the set for a while now. With the amount of detail they’ve put into it, it’s sure to feature into several shots when filming begins.

Finally, here’s another shot of the walls, sans the mysterious jacket-clad figure we saw previously.

We have a pretty good idea of what’s going to happen on this set, although we haven’t seen anyone shooting there as of yet. (On-location filming for King’s Landing is happening or about to happen in Dubrovnik, Croatia.) But when it goes down, it’s going to be pretty much be impossible to hide it.
