Steven Ogg said Westworld season 2 is “just as wild”

Westworld Season 2 is racing towards us like the Ghost Nation horde. Showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are keeping most of the story under wraps. But they did key us in on some of the characters coming back. For those of you speculating if Robert Ford made a new host to implant his mind, don’t count on it. Nolan and Joy have said that Ford (Anthony Hopkins) is dead. Sorry Hopkins fans. But here’s some great news for those who follow Steven Ogg. He said his character Rebus will be in season 2.

Westworld
fans know his famous mug as Rebus, one of the park’s lower class villains. Steven Ogg’s famous scene in the show is when Rebus is searching the Abernathy farm for milk. But instead he, and the guests he is with, come across conscious searching Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood). When Rebus tries to take advantage of her, Dolores has a flashback to the ever so evil Man in Black (Ed Harris) and shoots Rebus dead.
The next time we see Rebus is in the last episode. After Dolores (now uploaded with the all-killing Wyatt code) starts shooting the guests, we see a smirking Rebus standing in the crowd.
What’s Next For Steven Ogg In Westworld Season 2?
In an exclusive interview with ComicBook.com, Steven Ogg gives us a little insight as to what Rebus is up to:
"“Season Two is end of April, And I can say that Rebus continues to be around, which is good. Not as much as I would like, but that’s just me maybe being greedy. I mean there’s definitely not as much Rebus as I want more, I want more, but there is, certainly, some fun Rebus to be had. I was very, very excited to do what I did.”"
Get ready to see some more Rebus in action, although he will have less screen time. We agree with Ogg that we will like to see more of his character. But a little Ogg is better than no Ogg. Especially since he hinted that he has a very special scene in the upcoming season:
"“I at least had a super, super fun episode. Let’s put it that way. There’s definitely fun stuff. And the show is just as amazing as ever, and it just continues to dig deeper and have these amazing people in it. So, it’s going to be just as tricky, just as wild, just as wonderful, hopefully, as season one.”"
Maybe his Rebus character sides with Dolores and decides join her in the mayhem? Rebus is a host that’s easily provoked into violence. The showrunners did say season 2 will focus on chaos. It sounds like Rebus will have minor role in causing havoc withing the park.

It’s wonderful to have confirmation from Steven Ogg that he’ll be back in season 2. We look forward to seeing what mischief Rebus gets into with the rest of hosts. Those guests better get ready to run and hide.
