9) Garlan Tyrell

Garlan is a highly underrated character. While Willas and Loras could be good picks for POV chapters in their own right, Garlan can offer things they can’t, and wouldn’t create the same problems.

What problems am I talking about? On the one end, Loras is likely a rather dull person. His POV would only work well as a one-off to give us the truth of what happened at Dragonstone. And on the other end, Willas wouldn’t be able to give us a true perspective on the inner workings of the Tyrell faction.

But Garlan could give us a lot of that. Garlan is the Lord of Brightwater, the former seat of House Florent, and is guaranteed to play a big part in defending the Reach from the Ironborn. And on top of that, Garlan is as witty as he is badass, something we got hints of while he was in King’s Landing, particularly at Joffrey’s wedding. He’s the total package, and more than interesting enough to warrant more than one POV chapter.
