A lot of people will die during the Battle of Winterfell — Here are their corpses

As with Moneyglass, the ground at Magheramorne Quarry was littered with corpses. Unlike at Moneyglass, someone was able to get up close and personal with the bodies, in this case, a Redditor named WatchersOnMyBalls. The name’s a little silly, but the pictures are incredibly real. Let’s begin:

There are all kinds of corpses at Magheramorne Quarry, and you can click here to see the full suite of pictures. I thought we’d focus on some of the most interesting. To me, the most surprising corpses were the ones bearing the kraken sigil of House Greyjoy:

If this is indeed a battle set outside Winterfell, I didn’t expect Greyjoy soldiers to show up. The drama between Euron, Theon and Yara is still quite unsettled, although we’ll hit that in more detail a little later on.

Anyway, this is more in line with what I was expecting:

These skeletal corpses could be the bodies of wights, or they could be people flash-fried by dragonfire. We’ll have to wait to find out.

Next up, corpse blobs:

HBO likely spreads these things all over the battlefield and covers them in some snow. From a distance, they’ll look like discrete corpses, rather than a bunch of bodies affixed to one plate.

And finally, horse death:

Creepy.

Thank you for taking these photos, WatchersOnMyBalls. God bless you, wherever you are.
