Let’s rank the Game of Thrones trailers from worst to first
Season 6
The season 6 trailer was all sorts of dark. The music was extra moody (James Vincent McMorrow’s cover of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game”), and until he actually rose from the table in “Home,” we didn’t really know if Jon Snow was coming back from the dead or not, despite what our guts were saying. All of our heroes seem to be on the down and out. The trailer didn’t make it sound like season 6 was going to be one for the good guys.
Great Lines:
- Jaime to Cersei: “We’re the only ones who matter.”
- Melisandre: “The great victory I saw in the flames; all of it was a lie.”
- Tyrion: “You’re in the great game now, and the great game is terrifying.”
- Cersei: “I choose violence.”
- Davos: “I’ve never been much of fighter. Apologies for what you’re about to see.”
Great Scenes:
- Ramsay Bolton turning around to his father, knowing he’s going to kill him.
- The burning crosses at the Battle of the Bastards.
- Jorah picking up Dany’s ring.
- Dany walking into Vaes Dothrak.
- The Bolton calvary charge.
- The fight at the Tower of Joy.
- Bran turning around and coming face to face with the Night King.
