See Iron Man’s iconic snap…in front of a green screen on the set of Avengers: Endgame
By Dan Selcke
Unquestionably the climax of Avengers: Endgame, which is currently in a race with Avatar to become the highest-grossing movie of all time, is when Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, snags the Infinity Stones and snaps away Thanos and his army, saving humanity and losing his life. It’s a stirring, crushing moment.
Although it looks slightly less impressive when you see what it was like behind the scenes, with a boom mic hovering over Robert Downey Jr.’s face and a big nothing on his hand.
“I…am…Iron Man.” Even without all the spectacular special effects that will be added in after the fact, Downey Jr. still sells it. That’s imagination for you.

Marvel rereleased Endgame into select theaters this weekend so fans can go once more around the superhero bend, this time with an added post-credits scene. With any luck, the rerelease will put it over the hump and help Endgame edge out Avatar to become the most money-tastic movie in history.
