The Last Kingdom stars go out to dinner, start their own bands

The cast of The Last Kingdom love to take pictures of themselves and each other, and luckily for us, most of those images from come from behind the scenes of the Netflix drama’s fourth season. From getting a sneak peak at a new season 4 villain to our first look at Uhtred’s now-grown daughter Stiorra, we’re here for it.

This go-round, it’s all about the cast enjoying themselves on set and off, so let’s dive in!

First up, Mark Rowley (Finan) breaks the fourth wall by taking a “camara selfie, withing a camara selfie.” So meta.

Although not a selfie, Adrian Bouchet (Steapa) poses in thanks for all the birthday wishes, to which we belatedly add our own.

Elsewhere, Rowley and Arnas Fedaravicius (Sihtric), celebrate a loss by their beloved Scottish soccer team. We think.

Having what looks like a much better time, Eliza Butterworth (Aelswith), Millie Brady (Aethelflaed), Magnus Bruun (Cnut), Toby Regbo (Aethelred) and Emily Cox (Brida) enjoy a night out on the town. On the far left of the first image, you can see Stefani Martini, who will play Aethelred’s new lover Eadith.

Butterworth also posed with her onscreen foe, Uhtred son of Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon).

Back to set, Rowley is once again caught goofing off alongside Cox and Butterworth:

And apparently the trio are starting a band. Any suggestions on the name? Coneheads seems an obvious choice.

Speaking of bands, look for Jeppe Beck Laursen’s (Haesten) debut album on store shelves soon.

Elsewhere, unofficial production photographer Brady grabs a couple shots of James Northcote (Aldhelm) and Butterworth.

Brady also takes a shot of someone we can’t quite make out — based on the shirt, they were part of season 3.

We’re guessing that’s Butterworth again, based on the robe.

And finally, Cox trains with a bow and arrow. Beware Saxons!

Season 4 filming rolls on, and the images keep rolling in. Stay tuned, arselings!
