The Last Kingdom wrapped filming on its fourth season earlier this month, but its cast and crew are still dutifully releasing behind-the-scenes images, for which we send our thanks. This time around, Krisztian Wolcsanszky (who we aren’t sure is crew or just a fan), takes us on a tour of the Winchester set!

From Uhtred’s many meetings on the steps of the palace to the streets we’ve seen his crew drunkenly stumble down, there’s no mistaking the capital of Wessex.

This set is in Hungary. Is it just me or does the sky look fake in these photos?

Taking us even deeper down the rabbit hole, Levente Lezsak, longtime stunt coordinator on the show and newly promoted director for season 4, shares a shot from the editing room. Spoiler alert: there will be a battle at some point!

Someone bust out the magnifying glass and see what those other scenes are!

And here we have a couple of Danes — Magnus Bruun (Cnut) and Jeppe Beck Laursen (Haesten) — doing their best to look

hilarious

fearsome.

Below, James Northcote (Aldhelm) once again brazenly flaunts the rules, not to mention the timeline, by bringing his camera on set. Still, we thank him for being the show’s unofficial documentarian.

Next up, Adrian Bouchet (Steapa) shares a trio of photos, two of which come from set.

Looking fearsome as always, big man. Here’s hoping we get to see more of Steapa in battle come season 4.

Elsewhere on his feed, Bouchet teases his next gig, something involving more technology than anything The Last Kingdom crew has ever seen:

Regardless of the century, Bouchet remains a man we do not want to cross.

Finally, lucky fans in the UK can meet Mark Rowley (Finan) and Arnas Fedaravicius (Sihtric) at the Wales Comic Con on December 7 and 8.

Also attending are half the cast of Game of Thrones, if you’re into that show.

That’s it for now, but more images seem to always be just around the corner. Destiny is all!
