David Harbour gives the internet his phone number, wants fans to text him
By Ariba Bhuvad
Stranger Things star David Harbour just might be the coolest person alive right now. Is that an exaggeration? Am I just being over the top? Not at all. The man behind Sheriff Hopper just took to Instagram to share something special for his fans: his phone number.
Harbour wants fans to text and share how their day is going, where they are, their Instagram handle, what life has been like in these difficult times, and basically anything else your heart desires…within reason, of course.
Naturally, answering every single person is going to be difficult, if not impossible. And if by the end of this week, David Harbour decides to change his cell phone number, we won’t blame him. But based on his Instagram post, it appears Harbour wants to do his best to answer as many people as he can, and hopefully connect folks along the way.
I think this is a wonderful (albeit risky) gesture on his part given that many people are stuck at home trying to figure out things to do. Perhaps striking up a conversation with David Harbour will be the perfect way to spend your day.
Probably take it easy on the Stranger Things questions, though. We’ll all learn about season 4 in good time.
Harbour isn’t the first celebrity to think outside of the box during these times of social distancing. For example, The Office’s John Krasinksi has started his own series, Some Good News, which reports only positive, uplifting things happening around the world. It’s two episodes in, and it’s already captured the hearts of millions. Did you all catch today’s episode with the original cast of Hamilton?
It’s nice to see celebrities continue to provide entertainment the best way they can. I know I appreciate it, and will likely be texting David Harbour sometime today.
