Game of Thrones season 5

Season 5 saw a lot of the characters in reset mode. Sansa, armed with a new attitude and an edgy wardrobe, poses the house down on set:

Meanwhile, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) fled across the Narrow Sea with Varys (Conleth Hill), where the two made several stops on their way to meet the Dragon Queen. Here they are in Volantis, trying to keep a low profile:

Season 5 also brought us our most spectacular battle sequence yet when Jon traveled beyond the Wall to Hardhome and killed a White Walker with his Valyrian steel blade. In the video below, it looks like stunt coordinator Vladimír Furdík (who would go to play the Night King in future seasons, by the way) is rehearsing that fateful fight:

And then there was the Attack on Daznak’s Pit, where the Sons of the Harpy descended on Daenerys and her team only to be burnt to a crisp by Drogon, newly returned and willing to die for his mom. It’s a complicated sequence, but everyone involved looks like they thought it was worth it:

It’s also an action-heavy sequence, which means the actors’ body doubles were getting a lot of work:
