Finally, we know when The Walking Dead will air its long-awaited season finale. Check out the exciting first few minutes!
The Walking Dead season 10 finale has a premiere date, folks! During the show’s Comic-Con@Home panel, it was revealed that we’ll finally see how the war with the Whisperers wraps on on October 4! And that will be followed immediately by the series premiere of new spinoff The Walking Dead: World Beyond!
For those of you who need a refresher on where we last left off — I certainly did — here it is in a nutshell. We learned a little bit more about The Walking Dead’s newest and wackiest character, Princess (Paola Lazaro). Of course, as silly and carefree as she is on the outside, she’s gone through some heavy stuff, like other characters on the show.
We’re also getting more hints about the Commonwealth, the final community our heroes encounter in the comics. But before the team can see what that’s all about, they have to survive Beta’s attack on their home base, with his Whisperers and walker horde in tow.
It’s been an intense season of The Walking Dead, and based on the sneak preview we got during the panel today, the finale is going to take things up like 10 notches. We’ve time-stamped the new clip below. Watch:
Lots of interesting stuff in that clip! To start, we see the return of Lauren Cohan as Maggie Green, who I’m SO glad is back. It looks like she found the note addressed to her asking for her help. She’s been out of the loop for a while and had no idea that half the group is gone, dead or missing. I’m sure that’ll be difficult, but this is Maggie. She’s going to show up and help her people out however she can.
We also get a glimpse of this masked mystery character. We still don’t know who it is, but we have a few ideas.

Maybe it’s Maggie’s new look?
Before we move on, AMC also announced that it would be adding six new episodes to The Walking Dead season 10 to air sometime next year. It’s quite a day for zombie-lovers everywhere!
We also got some updates on spinoff Fear The Walking Dead, which is coming back just a week after the Walking Dead finale, on October 11. Check out a sneak peek:
I think the only question on all of our minds is: IS MORGAN ALIVE?!
If you were hoping for the cast to answer that question during the Comic-Con@Home panel, then you’re in for a disappointment. We’ll just have to sit tight until October to find out more. I wholeheartedly believe he is going to be just fine.
I hope.
