The Game of Thrones cast members have gotten to take home props here and there, but Sophie Turner (Sansa) definitely got the coolest one.
After Game of Thrones ended, there was a lot of talk about what props the cast members were allowed to take home. For instance, Liam Cunningham took home the carved wooden stag that Davos Seaworth made for Shireen Baratheon, and Sophie Turner got to take home a corset she had worn as Sansa Stark.
This is a step up from that.
Writing on her Instagram Stories, Turner revealed that the throne that Sansa sits upon in the last episode as she’s hailed as Queen in the North now sits in her house:

Over the image are the words “Welcome home.” It definitely warms the cockles of my heart to think that Turner can sit in Sansa’s hard-won throne whenever she wants. I mean, who wouldn’t want to relive this scene?
Of all the characters on the show, Sansa seems like a good candidate for a spinoff or sequel. To start, she was alive at the end of the series, which is key, and she was embarking on a new adventure: ruling the North. Turner has said that she’s not interested in returning to the role, but who knows what a few years will do?
Whether or not Turner ever plays Sansa again, she’ll always be thankful for the role the character played in her life. “Sansa, Thank you for teaching me resilience, bravery and what true strength really is,” she wrote the day the series finale aired. “Thank you for teaching me to be kind and patient and to lead with love,” she continued. “I grew up with you. I fell in love with you at 13 and now 10 years on…at 23 I leave you behind. But I will never leave behind what you’ve taught me.”
I also wonder if this will start a trend of cast members getting bigger and better props for their personal use. Before this, the biggest one I can think of is Kit Harington getting to take home that Jon Snow statue that appeared in the season 8 teaser:
But I want more! Give Emilia Clarke one of Daenerys’ platinum-blonde wigs! Give Maisie Williams Needle! Give Gwendoline Christie Oathkeeper! And then take the copies and put them in a museum!
I’m thinking long-term here.
