2. Alexandra Shipp as Starfire

Princess Koriand’r, aka Starfire, was born on the alien planet of Tamaran. Tamaranians can absorb ultraviolet radiation through their bodies and convert it into energy, which is what gives Starfire her powers. Eventually, she arrives on Earth and joins the Teen Titans. Her abilities include flight, energy blasts, advanced hand-to-hand combat skills, and superhuman strength.

The DCEU could give Starfire the fish-out-of-water treatment. She’ll have to adapt to earthling customs, which could provide some humorous moments. She could get into a romance with Tim Drake, as many comics and shows pair these two up (although it’s usually Dick Grayson and not Drake, but whatever).

I find the version of Starfire we get in the DC Universe show to be too aggressive and far removed from her comic personality. It’s true Starfire that has a temper and learns to soften up over time, but it’s also important to show her joyful and curious side, as she’s always excited to learn something new about Earth and its people.

Alexandra Shipp, who has appeared in films like Love, Simon and X-Men: Apocalypse, would be able to give us a more lighthearted take on Koriand’r. Not only is she captivating onscreen, but she’s already played a teenage superhero: Storm of the X-Men. She would also be great alongside Robinson’s Drake, as they already showed chemistry in Love, Simon.

If anyone could bring this character to life, it’s Shipp.
