Let’s dreamcast the Teen Titans before they appear in the DCEU
4. Millie Bobby Brown as Raven
Born as the half-breed daughter of a human and a demon overlord, Raven, aka Rachel Roth, is one of the Titans’ most powerful members. Her demonic origins give her incredible powers, such as flight, telekinesis, teleportation, and other psychic abilities. She was born and raised in Azarath, a pacifistic dimension where she learned to control her emotions and powers. Raven arrived on Earth only when she discovered her father, Trigon, was planning to invade and overthrow humanity. She helps assemble the Titans to thwart his plans and defeat him.
If DC were to make the first Titans movie about Trigon’s invasion, Raven could become a focal point. Her stoic demeanor would make it difficult for her to connect with the other Titans and they might not trust her at first, but eventually they would all become close friends.
While Raven’s cartoon portrayals have been pretty much spot-on (except on Cartoon Network’s Teen Titans Go), the Raven from the DC Universe show is a bit shaky. She needs to come off as cold and distant, intelligent and crafty. On Titans, Raven is too emotional and too quick to rely on others, which is far from the Raven fans know from the comics.
Stranger Things star actress Millie Bobby Brown has experience playing the brooding and callous girl with mysterious and dangerous powers. She continues to show her incredible acting chops in films like Godzilla: King of the Monsters and her recent Netflix original Enola Holmes. She would make an excellent Raven.
