Take the Black: Supernatural, The Mandalorian and superhero shakeups

What’s our take on the Supernatural series finale? The new Mandalorian episode? What of Black Panther 2 going forward and Wonder Woman 1984 going to streaming?

Welcome to Take the Black Live, the show where we discuss all things TV, movies, sci-fi, fantasy and beyond. We’ve got plenty to talk about this Thanksgiving week. Let’s get into it!

Our topics this week include:

• The Supernatural series finale. Was it a brilliant send-off to a 15-year-old show or an underwhelming finish?
• The latest episode of The Mandalorian, “The Siege.”  Is it an eventful installment that pushes the plot forward or another filler episode?
• HBO has officially ordered a series based on The Last of Us. Good idea, bad idea, great idea?
• There’s lots of superhero news to discuss this week, including Wonder Woman 1984 heading to HBO Max, Marvel Studios officially making Deadpool 3, and Disney moving forward with Black Panther II, possibly with a bigger role for Letitia Wright (Shuri).
