The Walking Dead final season will be unlike anything we’ve seen before

The Walking Dead producer Scott M. Gimple is hyping fans up for the eleventh and final season, which will take us to some new places.

Hard as it is to believe, The Walking Dead is coming to end with its upcoming eleventh season. Even though the show lost its way a bit in the later seasons, it always held a special place in my heart, and I will be sad to see it go.

And I’m hoping that the final season will send it off right. According to producer Scott M. Gimple, it’ll definitely be something to remember. In fact, in a behind-the-scenes video put out by FOX TV UK, he said that season 11 will be “something unlike you’ve seen on the show before.”

What the heck does that mean? And what haven’t we seen on the show over the last 10 years? There have been weddings, births, too many deaths to count, raging mass murderers, cannibals, people pretending to be zombies…and that’s just scratching the surface. What more could be left?

Unfortunately, we have to wait until late 2021 to find out what exactly he’s talking about, but in the meantime, we’re getting six additional episodes on season 10 starting early next year. And it’s all going to start with a new community, the Commonwealth!

We were briefly introduced to the Commonwealth, which boasts a population of nearly 50,000 people, at the end of the last new episode, “A Certain Doom.” The “Stormtroopers” ambushed Eugene (Josh McDermitt) and company at the location where he was supposed to meet his mysterious radio buddy Stephanie (Margot Bingham).

“We’ve met a new group, and they certainly seem to be very capable, very well-equipped,” said showrunner Angela Kang. “So that will send us into our next story.”

One of the six bonus episodes we’re getting next, “Splinter,” will show us exactly went down after Eugene, King Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) and Princess (Paola Lazaro) were captured.

I’m curious to find out if Stephanie is real, if she was playing Eugene this entire time, or if she was tricked into bringing him to the Commonwealth. For Eugene’s sake, I hope she ends up being a nice person; the guy has been through enough heartbreak, can’t we let him have this one?

The six-episode extension will also include a Negan-centric episode that will explore his backstory, including the mystery of his wife Lucille (who is being played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s actual wife, Hilarie Burton). I am beyond excited for this episode, because Negan’s history is so rich and mysterious. How did he become the way he is?

Luckily, we only have to wait until February 28 to find out!

Here’s when The Walking Dead returns, with episode descriptions!. dark. Next
