5 Outlander spinoffs we want to see

I know this may not be a popular choice, but hear me out. Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) is the most hated character in Outlander, alongside Stephen Bonnett. We hate him from our very core, and what he’s done to Jamie Fraser is nothing short of atrocious, sickening and revolting.

If there was to be a spinoff about him, I’d be interested to learn how he became the vile human being we meet in this story. Was he always like this? Did something happen to him in life that turned off his capacity to feel and emote? Something has to explain his journey, right?

I think my biggest reason for even sort of wanting a Black Jack Randall spinoff is the possibility of Tobias Menzies returning to play him. Vile as the character was, most Outlander fans can agree that Menzies played him to perfection. Black Jack Randall is as horrible, frightening and disgusting as he is because Menzies nailed his attitude and mannerisms.

So while this particular spinoff isn’t on the top of my list (nor likely anyone else’s), I do think it’d be interesting to learn the character’s backstory, and any chance to see Menzies do his thing is worth something.
