3. Professor Neville Longbottom

That’s enough shows set in the past. Let’s fast forward in time and think about how hilarious it be to have a sitcom centered entirely around our underdog hero Neville Longbottom, now Herbology Professor at Hogwarts. Picture it: poor Neville struggling to deal with Gen Z students; even the purebloods have learned a thing or two from the muggle-borns and are way more technologically advanced than he is. What the hell is a Twitter anyway?

We would follow a year in the life of Professor Longbottom, ideally before any of the Potter/Weasley kids came to Hogwarts. We would witness Neville begging his students to turn off their phones because their vibrations upset the sprouts, or docking points when catching kids growing gillyweed to smoke after class. Poor Neville, now Head of Gryffindor House, never imagined he would need to do so much paperwork, all he wanted was to be around plants.

Are you seeing what I’m seeing, do you get the vibe? The only location would be the greenhouse, and occasionally, Neville’s office. Neville would constantly mention his “famous” friends and schoolmates, and will occasionally write them, but we would never see them on screen. The recurring joke of the show would be that every time they’re supposed to meet, something happens to prevent it: Hermione has an international crisis to deal with, Harry has some dark activity to chase, Luna has run off to the Netherlands looking for a rare species, Ginny sprained her ankle during a Quidditch math with the Harpies, and so on.
