Morfydd Clark as Poison Ivy

Chances are you haven’t heard of Morfydd Clark. If you have, it’s probably from her roles in His Dark Materials (Sister Clara) and Dracula (Mina). Compared to the others on this list, she’s not a Hollywood superstar…yet. However, in the next few years, we could see her become a regular big name.

The 32-year-old Welsh-born Swedish actress will appear as Galadriel in Amazon’s upcoming, mega-expensive Lord of the Rings series. Only the best would dare try to fill the boots of Cate Blanchett, and Clark has already shown in previous performances that she has what it takes; she barely said two words in His Dark Materials but still managed to steal her episodes with her quiet magnetism. We can’t wait to see her become the brightest star in Middle-earth!

While we’re at it, I think it’s time to give her a starring role in some big movies, and these days no one dominates the box office like Marvel and DC. Sure, she could join the MCU, but I think making her Poison Ivy would bring the best out of her, especially alongside Margot Robbie. It would be a welcome change to see someone up and coming to get such a big and beloved role.

Obviously, Ivy is a massive challenge for any actress due to her energy and twisted wit. Clark has shown how dynamic of an actress she can be. Of course, playing Galadriel will be another great opportunity for her to display her powerful screen presence to a much wider demographic. I think she would do Poison Ivy justice!
