3. Knights of the Old Republic series

Here’s an idea that’s dear to many Star Wars’ fans hearts, but which I never got to experience growing up: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The video game was released in 2003 and had an equally beloved sequel in 2004. There’s also an official remake in the works for the PlayStation 5, which means a brand new generation of Star Wars fans will get to enjoy this tale.

But here’s the thing: the story of Revan and Darth Malak is still sort-of-kind-of in non-canon limbo. It was confirmed that the original story of the game is definitely not canon, but the remake? There’s potential.

Still, one of the better ways to make something 100 percent canon is by adapting it into a live-action series. And without a doubt, many fans have been clamoring for one actor in particular to play Revan: Keanu Reeves. There’s so many good things about the possibility of adapting KOTOR. We get the complex tale of Revan, who goes between the dark and light sides. Fans get to see a classic story they love come to life. And if all goes well, we get Keanu fricking Reeves.

It’s a win-win situation all around. And with it having such a special place in Star Wars fans’ hearts, I think it’s about time KOTOR be dragged out from Legends and into the canon. If it can happen for Thrawn, it can happen for anyone.
