Drama is brewing in the next episode of House of the Dragon, “Second of His Name,” and we cannot wait to dive right in. With a few-years time-jump since last week’s episode, we’ll see King Viserys (Paddy Considine) living his new life with wife Alicent Hightower (Emily Carey) and their son Aegon II. Now that Viserys finally has a son, Rhaenyra Targaryen’s (Milly Alock) claim to the Iron Throne will no doubt be challenged, putting her in a really tough situation.

In the trailer for Episode 3, Viserys tells Rhaenyra that she’ll soon have a child of her own, an idea she quickly dismisses. Marriage isn’t something she’s interested in, and that will certainly become a problem for the family. No longer best friends with Alicent, Rhaenyra feels isolated with no one to turn to.

It’ll be another great week for the Game of Thrones spinoff, so make sure you’re ready! Here’s how long you can expect to be watching.

House of the Dragon episode 3 run time

Similar to Game of Thrones and other HBO dramas, House of the Dragon episodes all run around one hour. This week is no different, with Episode 3 coming in at 1 hour and 3 minutes.
