There are approximately 354 Star Trek shows on at the moment. Star Trek: Picard just wrapped up its third and final season. Star Trek: Discovery is carrying the series into the future. Star Trek: Lower Decks is an animated comedy. And so on.

One of the most popular of the new Trek shows is Strange New Worlds, which is set before even The Original Series and catches up with the crew of the Starship Enterprise before Captain Kirk came along. Like The Original SeriesStrange New Worlds features self-contained episodes that stand on their own, a rarity in today’s serialization-heavy TV landscape.

Strange New Worlds season 1 went over really well with fans and season 2 is premiering on Paramount+ on June 15. Check out the trailer below:

If you want to watch season 2, you’ll have to get a Paramount+ subscription. But you now watch the entire first season for free on YouTube! Paramount+ wants you to fall in love with this show enough that you’ll pay to see more, so it’s making season 1 available to watch for the whole month on June on its channel. Other shows have occasionally posted their premiere episodes on YouTube, but it’s fairly rare for a whole season to go up there. Will this give the series the bump it needs, or is Paramount+ giving away too much? You have until June 30 to decide.
