When does The Boys spinoff Gen V premiere on Amazon Prime Video?
By WiC Staff
School is almost in session! We’re just around the corner from the premiere of Gen V, the first live-action spinoff for Prime Video’s irreverent superhero show The Boys. Gen V takes viewers to Godolkin University, America’s first superhero college run by Vought International, the company responsible for fostering such inspiring super-citizens as Homelander, A-Train and The Deep. The spinoff is set between The Boys seasons 3 and 4, so we may even see some of those characters make guest appearances.
What time does Gen V come out on Prime Video?
If you’re as excited about Gen V as we are, it’s probably time to start getting ready for the season premiere. Gen V is out on Prime Video this Friday, September 29. Amazon has yet to confirm the exact release time when we’ll be able to watch it, but Amazon Advisor notes that Gen V has a global release schedule which is based off of UK timezones.
If so, Gen V could end up with a similar sort of release schedule to Amazon’s other big series which is currently airing, The Wheel of Time. That show releases new episodes at midnight GMT. If Gen V follows suit, the first three episodes will drop on Prime Video at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT on Thursday, September 28.
The first season of Gen V consists of eight episodes. Following its three-episode premiere, the show is expected to release one episode a week for the remainder of its season, culminating in the season finale on November 3.
