Jaqen H’ghar

One of the most mysterious people in Game of Thrones, Jaqen H’ghar is a badass character I’d love to see more of. He’s The part of a secret group of assassins called the Faceless Men, which could form the basis for a show; there’s so much lore to explore in the city of Braavos and beyond. Jaqen

H’ghar is introduced to the story when he meets Arya Stark, and he eventually becomes a mentor of sorts to her. Arya’s training with the Faceless Men is one of the most entertaining and interesting parts of the series, and though we learn a lot about them, many questions remain.

If a spinoff series were to explore Jaqen H’ghar’s backstory, we’d understand much more about this group of shapeshifting killers, and I’m sure we would get many awesome action sequences and suspenseful plot twists. The show would remain part of the Game of Thrones universe, but would be far enough away from the main storyline that it could feel completely brand new.

Mance Rayder - Game of Thrones

Mance Rayder

Mance Rayder, also known as the King Beyond the Wall, is an ex-member of the Night’s Watch who leaves his men behind to go live with the wildlings. We get to know him through his relationship with Jon Snow, but it would be awesome to learn more about the character from his point of view. When we meet Mance, he’s already a seasoned leader. I want to know how he gets to that point!

Though he’s seen as an enemy to the Night’s Watch, it’s established pretty quickly that Mance is actually a good, fair man who just wants to protect his people. It’s not difficult for him and Jon to understand each other, even if they aren’t on the same team. A spinoff about Mance would give us the opportunity to learn more about the Free Folk in general, including their culture and important parts of their history. The wildlings attempt to invade the Seven Kingdoms on multiple occasions, and it’d be really cool to either see that happen or at least learn more about it.

As much as we learn about the wildlings in Game of Thrones, it’s apparent that they are very misunderstood. Getting exposed to more of their history through Mance Rayder’s eyes would make for a really interesting spinoff, even if it’s just a miniseries.
