After House of the Dragon ended, we've been in a relatively dry spell of new fantasy and sci-fi shows to watch. There have been a few good ones, but the real heavy-hitting sci-fi and fantasy shows of the fall premiere in November and December.
To make sure you know about all the good sci-fi and fantasy shows on the way in the penultimate month of the year, I put together a small list with release date information for the three biggest sci-fi and fantasy shows on the way.
Let's get the list started with the show I'm most excited about coming this month.

The Rings of Power season 3
- Premiere date: Nov. 11, 2026
- Where to watch: Prime Video
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is finally back for season 3 after more than two years between seasons. Season 3 is arriving at the perfect time, and it looks like we might be about to watch the best season of the series so far. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I really have high hopes for The Rings of Power season 3.
After the events of the season 2 finale, Sauron is officially back and holding court in Mordor, and he's bringing war to the rest of the Middle-earth. He won't be unchallenged, though. The elves are fighting back, but Sauron has the upperhand. We'll also be seeing the Dark Lord assembling his inner circle of Nazgûl and his forging of the One Ring.
Charlie Vickers is, of course, back as Sauron in the new season, along with Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Daniel Weyman, Sophia Nomvete, Markella Kavanaugh, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, and more. Jamie Campbell Bower is also joining the series as Celeborn, the husband of Galadriel, in the new season.
Prime Video is changing up the release schedule for the new season. The first four episodes of The Rings of Power season 3 will be released on Nov. 11, with two episodes arriving on Nov. 18, and the final episodes of the season arriving on Nov. 25.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3
- Premiere date: Nov. 20, 2026
- Where to watch: Disney+
Percy Jackson and the Olympians also returns for season 3 right in the middle of The Rings of Power season 3. The first two episodes of the eight-episode season will arrive on Nov. 20 with two episodes arriving weekly on Disney+ through the finale on Dec. 11.
The series will tell the story of Rick Riordan's The Titan's Curse, which sees Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) on another epic cross-country adventure to save the world as they know it. This is the book where this story really starts to get dark. I can't wait to see what the team has put together.
I also just want to give a shoutout to the full team for getting this show on a 12-month release schedule! It's so nice these days to have a show that we can expect to return every year. I might be speaking selfishly because I love Percy Jackson, but hey, I'll take the win.

Blade Runner 2099
- Premiere date: Nov. 25, 2026
- Where to watch: Prime Video
Blade Runner 2099 is our only sci-fi series worth watching in November 2026! The series from Silka Luisa premieres on Nov. 25.
Blade Runner 2099 is, of course, set in the Blade Runner universe. This story revolves around Owlen and Cora, played by Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer, who team up to take down some bad Replicants. That sounds fun to me!
I don't necessarily know why Prime Video is dropping all eight episodes of Blade Runner 2099 on Nov. 25, which is the same day that the final two episodes of The Rings of Power season 3 will be released. That is Black Friday, so maybe it's all marketing, but it just seems like it would be a much better idea to space these shows out.
We'll be covering The Rings of Power season 3, Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3, and Blade Runner 2099 on Winter is Coming! Stay tuned for more news about each show.
