The crown is a heavy weight, and Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen learns as much in House of the Dragon season 3 episode 3 — and she'll continue grappling with that reality into episode 4.
As if discovering the crown's treasury is gone, fighting with Lord Corlys Velaryon, and dealing with tedious things like candles isn't bad enough, Rhaenyra finds herself facing yet another dilemma at the end of House of the Dragon season 3 episode 3. Following the realization that the Daeron Targaryen in King's Landing is an imposter, she's informed that Lord Ormund Hightower and his host have taken Tumbleton. It's a bold power play, and one that proves some of the Greens are still resisting her rule.
Rhaenyra will need to respond in the coming episode, but she's not in a great position to do so. With no coin and Lord Ormund holding the people of Tumbleton hostage, it'll be difficult for her to retaliate without suffering losses of her own. Needless to say, we can expect more political maneuvering in House of the Dragon season 3 episode 4. What time can fans watch it on HBO?

What happened in episode 3 and what to expect from episode 4
House of the Dragon season 3 episode 4 promises a heavy focus on the dilemma established at the end of last week's episode. HBO's preview opens with Rhaenyra questioning Ormund Hightower's motives and wondering if he intends to sway the people of Tumbleton to his cause. That does seem to be the case, at least partially, as Ormund is later shown giving a speech about restoring Aegon to the throne and doing "the will of the gods."
We also see him at a table with documents spread out before him, and we get a shot of him standing in the glow of dragon fire. He's clearly working hard against Rhaenyra, but whether he uses persuasion or tyranny at Tumbleton remains to be seen.
We'll also be reunited with the other Greens in episode 4. Aegon and Larys' buddy-cop adventure continues, and it looks as though it'll take them back to Rook's Rest. That's where they're supposed to be headed, anyway, and they clearly reach what's left of some broken-down keep or castle. The pair also has a run-in with another angry character, though their complaints about "Rivermen" suggest they may be on Aegon's side.
Finally, House of the Dragon season 3 episode 4 looks to return fans to Harrenhal. There's a shot of Criston Cole arriving and demanding to know where Aemond is. It's difficult to glean that from the odd reaction Alys Rivers gives him, but we can count on the prince wreaking more havoc in future episodes. There's no way the show would kill him so early, especially when it doesn't align with his Fire & Blood fate.
Mysaria also shines in the preview, responding to Daemon's insistence that they have to pay their soldiers with a harsh suggestion: appointing a Master of Coin, then blaming them for the problems that arise. If Rhaenyra takes her advice, it'll likely push her even closer to her downfall.
Only time will tell how things play out, but we can look forward to more deception and difficult choices in House of the Dragon season 3 episode 4.
