One Piece season 2 recap reviews

The last time we saw the Straw Hats in the season 1 finale, they had just defeated the Arlong Pirates and liberated Nami’s village. Luffy had earned his first bounty, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji had each declared their dreams, and the crew was ready to leave the East Blue behind.

One Piece season 2 picks up from this turning point, plunging the crew into the unpredictable waters of the Grand Line. Every island they visit hides new dangers, every new enemy tests their limits, and every encounter brings them closer to the legendary treasure that defines their journey. While the first season covered almost all of the East Blue Saga from the manga, season 2 covers the final bit of the East Blue Saga and the first half of the Arabasta Saga. It starts from the Loguetown Arc and goes through the Drum Island Arc.
