With a boldness Tairn would be proud of, Inde Navarrette has officially expressed interest in playing Violet Sorrengail in Prime Video's upcoming Fourth Wing TV series.

According to a report from etalk CTV, Navarrette, who starred in the hit horror movie Obsession, revealed that she would love to play Violet, the lead character from Rebecca Yarros' Empyrean series.

“If I had to pick a specific role that I’ve secretly been keeping my eye on, it would be Violet Sorrengail. I’m a huge Fourth Wing fan, and I heard they were making it into a series.”

For those who don't know, Violet is the protagonist introduced in Fourth Wing, the first book of Yarros' series. The story begins with Violet heading off to Basgiath War College, where Navarre's best fighter and dragonriders are trained. Violet has been preparing for life as a scribe, but her mother, General Lilith Sorrengail, forces her to become a rider, which introduces Violet to a life she never thought possible.

Amazon officially greenlit the first season of the series during its Upfronts presentation in May 2026. Michael B. Jordan is producing, while Meredith Averill, best known for Netflix's Locke and Key and The Haunting of Hill House, is the showrunner. At the time of publishing, we haven't heard when filming will start on the first season.

So far, we haven't heard much officially about any Fourth Wing castings or the casting process. There's been a lot of rumors and speculation about who should play Violet and Xaden basically since the Fourth Wing TV series was rumored to be in the works at Prime Video. If there's one thing Fourth Wing fans like to do, it's pick who they think should play their favorite characters.

So far, there have been a few other names thrown around as potential options to star as Violet, but I feel like everyone is just throwing up names. There's no use in sharing all the fancasts now, but there is a name that's gaining steam as a possible addition to the Fourth Wing cast.

Josh Heuston, who just starred in the Prime Video series Off Campus, is a name that keeps coming up as a possible fit to play Xaden. He's been asked about it on red carpets multiple times, and he basically admits that he knows nothing about where things stand in the search for Xaden.

While I understand fans being so interested in finding the right fit for Xaden, finding the perfect Violet has to be the priority. Xaden is great and all that, but this is largely Violet's story, and if they mess up Violet, that's going to cause problems for this show.

Obviously, I'm just talking about the acting chops. I would never comment on someone's appearance or anything like that. Let's not be weirdos, okay? The only thing that should matter is if the actresses and actors can bring these characters to life and deliver an epic performance. If they can, put them in, coach.

We'll share more updates about Fourth Wing casting and production. I'm sure this will be a huge topic of conversation in the coming months. Stay tuned for more news about the Fourth Wing TV series and Yarros' book series. We'll have another book coming, hopefully, in 2027.
