Check out gorgeous images from the House of the Dragon season 2 finale

The final episode of House of the Dragon season 2 will air this Sunday night, August 4, on HBO and Max. One more time, we have a set of new images to look at, starting with a pic of Criston Cole — who sat out the previous episode — on his way to Harrenhal. He's the saddest man to ever stare contemplatively into a camp fire:

We'll return to Driftmark one more time this season to check in on Corlys Velaryon:

We'll also return to Harrenhal, where Daemon Targaryen has successfully assembled his army of Rivermen after much dreaming and striving:

There's lots happening in King's Landing in the finale. Larys Strong will again visit the ailing King Aegon Targaryen, sharing his wisdom as a fellow disabled person:

While Aegon recovers, his brother Aemond rules as regent. He'll likely be hopping mad after finding out last week that Rhaenyra has a bunch of new dragonriders fighting for her. Below, it looks like he's getting a talking to from his mother Alicent:

Aemond also makes an effort to talk to his sister Helaena. In the trailer for the finale, we see that he's asking her to ride her dragon Dreamfyre to war, a suggestion we can't imagine she'll be happy about:

Finally, Rhaenyra toasts her newly assembled dragon-riding air force, which includes her son Jace, her step-daughter Baela, and the three commoners who recently became new dragonriders: Addam of Hull, Ulf White and Hugh Hammer:

There are fewer images than usual this week, but then again, it's the finale and HBO has more to hide, even with parts of the episode leaking ahead of time. Everyone everywhere will know the specifics by the end of this weekend.
