According to a deleted message on the crowd-funding campaign for an Invincible video game, Amazon has renewed the show for seasons 4 and 5.

Invincible on Amazon Prime Video is an awesome TV show and I shant entertain any arguments to the contrary. Based on the comics by Robert Kirkman, this is a superhero show with drama, comedy, action, blood, guts, and heart. The second season only ended a couple weeks ago and already I'm thirsting for the third. Happily, the folks in charge have promised a much shorter wait between seasons 2 and 3 than between seasons 1 and 2. Voice acting on season 3 is already finished, according to this nifty image posted to the Invincible page on X. Surely proper episodes can't be that far behind.

But what about after that? I never want to have to wait an eternity between new episodes like I did after the season 1 finale. Kirkman's Invincible comics ran from 2003 to 2018, so Amazon has a lot of ground to cover. And the sooner they renew the show for future seasons, the easier I can rest knowing there are no long content droughts in my future.

Amazon has not officially said whether it's renewed Invincible beyond season 3...but unofficially, we have some information. Invincible is created in part by Skybound Entertainment, which in addition to animating the show also makes Invincible video games. The official Invincible X account regularly retweets Skybound and the season 2 finale included a reference to Invincible's appearance in Fortnite. Skybound manages all things Invincible, from the games to the show and beyond.

That's why it's notable that a crowd-funding page for Skybound originally featured a message saying that the Invincible TV show had been "Renewed for Seasons and 4 & 5." Again, Amazon has not formally announced this, which could explain why the message was quickly taken down after fans noticed it. But the internet is forever, so the proof is preserved:

Now, it's possible that whoever is managing the crowd-funding page made a whoopsie and said that the show was renewed even though it hadn't been. OR...they have inside information and revealed it without thinking, only taking it down when Amazon cried foul. My hope is that it's the latter.

Invincible has been a hit for Amazon, so it would behoove the company to renew the show well ahead of time. I hope we get an official announcement to this effect soon.
