It's that time of the week again...for another episode of Take the Black, the Winter Is Coming podcast where we go over all the latest news coming out of the Seven Kingdoms, as well as the realms of fantasy and science fiction at large!

This week, co-host Marq Nettles and myself have gotten some intriguing ravens out of Westeros, with rumors about what's in store in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 2. Yes, we're talking about those leaks, which supposedly spilled the beans on a number of developments and scenes that are coming next season. Do we buy them? Which ones sound the most legit based on everything we know from the book and various reporting about the series? Which are totally bogus?

We discuss it at length! Watch and let us know what you think in the comments:

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 trailer is here!

Beyond all the AKOTSK chatter, it's also a fairly busy week in other fantasy worlds as well. Prime Video dropped the first full-length trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3, and it looks pretty epic! The show has had its ups and downs. Can it turn things around and deliver its best outing yet with season 3?

Discussing The Rings of Power also took an interesting turn in this episode. I've seen all of the series; Marq hasn't watched it at all. That led to us not only breaking down some things from the trailer, but talking more broadly about the reasons to get into it, and some of the aspects of it that might confuse new viewers, like whether or not Gandalf is in the show.

Seeing as how it's spooky season, we also spent some obligatory time discussing a few horror things we're into right now, like Peacock's new Crystal Lake show and some final impressions of Prime Video's Carrie. And beyond that, we also discussed a few new books, including Katherine Daniel's debut horror novel When the Night Comes Knocking. We may not have a Westeros show on right now, but there's no shortage of other things to discuss!
