Next month, the third season of The Wheel of Time will air on Prime Video. This epic fantasy series based on the beloved book series by Robert Jordan has been gaining momentum with each new season, and the third — based on the book The Shadow Rising — could be the best yet. And it might have to be, because the show is getting to the point where Prime Video needs to either commit to telling the whole story — there are 14 books in the series in all, with The Shadow Rising being the fourth — or do the unthinkable and let the series fade away.
So there's a lot to talk about when it comes to The Wheel of Time these days! And we've been talking about it with none other than the cast members themselves. We dive into the morass in a new episode of Take the Black, our weekly chat show where we talk all things sci-fi, fantasy, movies, TV and books. Watch below!
We spare a thought for a few other topics, too. Things are picking up on the set of the third season of HBO's Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon, and Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin is again talking about an Elden Ring movie. And of course, as we do every week, we talk about what we're watching — get ready for a majorly trippy episode of Severance tomorrow — and run through the WiC News Lightning Round.
The Take the Black Podcast is on iTunes and YouTube Music! Please subscribe and download from there if you can. Also, you can help us out by giving us a five-star rating and leaving a friendly comment! We’re also now on Spreaker, so try us there, as well.
We stream new episodes of Take the Black every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. CST on the WinterIsComing YouTube and Facebook pages. Over the next couple months, we'll be covering Severance, Daredevil: Born Again, The Wheel of Time, The Last of Us and more; can you really afford not to be in the loop?
