News about the live-action adaptation of The Expanse has understandably been sparse since the show ended with season 6 back in 2022, but the cast has recently revealed they're gearing up for a reunion. In a video posted on Streamily's X account, the actors explain that they're forming a virtual panel to celebrate 10 years since The Expanse premiered on Syfy.
Although said anniversary was on December 14, the panel itself will be hosted by Streamily on December 21, 2025. The event will last for three hours, with the cast discussing the show at length and answering the fans' questions. While it might not be quite the same as The Expanse season 7 being announced (we can all dream), the 10th anniversary panel is still an incredibly exciting event to mark on your calendars.

How much are tickets for The Expanse cast's 10th anniversary panel?
It should be further clarified that The Expanse's reunion panel is not an in-person event. It's a completely digital occasion. It'll begin at 2:00 p.m. EST and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. EST. While this might be disappointing news for those who wanted to be in the direct presence of their heroes, the lack of notice means a digital event is actually more beneficial for fans who wouldn't have the time or resources to travel. Plus, this means it's now accessible internationally.

When it comes to the matter of the price of digital tickets, they've been set at a reasonable $30 each. Given the popularity of the show and the thirst for more content, it's nice to see ticket prices haven't been inflated. However, Streamily also has several prints for sale that have been signed by members of The Expanse's cast. They can be included in a bundle when you purchase a ticket. If you won't be able to watch the panel live but still want to mark the occasion, these prints are available for purchase without also buying a ticket. Prices vary.

This digital anniversary panel isn't the reunion The Expanse fans really want (but we'll take it)
The Expanse season 6 ended with a satisfying finale, but there was still a sense of incompletion about the sci-fi show's last episode. There's a very good reason for that: James S.A. Corey's The Expanse books weren't fully adapted. With each novel roughly translating to one season of television, the first six were brought to the small screen by the combined efforts of Syfy and Prime Video.
So, there are still three more Expanse books left unaddressed. Considering there's a lengthy time jump that occurs after book six, it makes sense that the show ended where it did, but that hasn't stopped fans from speculating about its return one day to finish the saga. Every time the words "The Expanse" and "reunion" appear in the same sentence, the optimist in all of us comes bursting to the surface. So, sorry about that. It's not happening in the traditional sense β not yet, anyway. For now, we'll all have to make do with reminiscing about the amazing space opera with The Expanse's cast on December 21.
The Expanse is streaming now on Prime Video, but is slowly leaving the platform in certain territories due to licencing rights.
