Have you ever felt like you've scrolled through Netflix a hundred times and still can’t find something entertaining to watch? Perhaps it feels like you've streamed everything worth watching, but hidden gems are always waiting to be discovered.
In fact, the streaming giant is home to several underrated fantasy shows that many subscribers have completely overlooked. We would hate for you to let these magical adventures pass you by as well. That's why we've put together a list of four great fantasy series that you might have missed, but are absolutely worth your time.

Warrior Nun
Warrior Nun, aka the fantasy show that had so much potential yet was axed after only two seasons. However, don't let its cancellation stop you from watching it. It is confirmed that the story will continue in a trilogy of movies. This good news was announced back in August 2023. However, Netflix is in no way involved in producing these films.
Warrior Nun was created by Simon Barry. Based on the comic book character Warrior Nun Areala by Ben Dunn, the show centers on Ava, a young woman who wakes up in a morgue with a divine artifact embedded in her back, granting her supernatural powers. She then finds herself thrust into a centuries-old battle between good and evil, discovering her true destiny as a warrior nun tasked with protecting the human race from sinister forces.
Alba Baptista takes on the leading role as Ava Silva. Other talented actors in the cast include Toya Turner, Lorena Andrea, Kristina Tonteri-Young, Tristán Ulloa, Thekla Reuten, Sylvia De Fanti, and William Miller.

Fate: The Winx Saga
Another unfortunate cancellation was the axing of Fate: The Winx Saga. Like Warrior Nun, this fantasy series only got two seasons before Netflix decided not to renew it. Adapted from the popular animated series Winx Club, the live-action adaptation had a much darker and more mature tone. This only made the show more appealing to fans as it was a fresh take on the Winx universe.
The series follows Bloom, a teenage fairy who discovers her magical abilities and is sent to Alfea, a mystical boarding school in the Otherworld. While learning to master her powers and uncover the secrets of her mysterious origins, Bloom teams up with fellow fairies, each with their own unique abilities, to confront dark magical beings known as the Burned Ones.
Abigail Cowen stars as the main character, Bloom. Also in the cast are Hannah van der Westhuysen, Precious Mustapha, Eliot Salt, Sadie Soverall, Freddie Thorp, Eva Birthistle, Robert James-Collier, Eve Best, and others.

Lockwood & Co.
Unfortunately, Lockwood & Co. suffered from bad marketing. Netflix didn’t effectively advertise the series, so many potential viewers didn’t know it existed or weren’t enticed to watch it, which led to its cancellation after only one season. However, I'd still recommend checking it out if you're looking for something to watch that's fresh, fast-paced, and binge-worthy.
The short-lived Netflix series revolves around a small, young trio of psychic investigators. They are Lucy, Anthony, and George, who run a ghost-hunting agency in London. Together, they face terrifying supernatural threats and solve mysterious hauntings in their city. Ruby Stokes, Cameron Chapman, and Ali Hadji-Heshmati star in the leading roles as Lucy, Anthony, and George.

Locke & Key
Fortunately, Locke & Key got to complete three full seasons on Netflix. It's based on the comic book series of the same title by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. In addition, Carlton Cuse, Meredith Averill, and Aron Eli Coleite created the fantasy drama.
The series follows the Locke family as they move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, after the tragic murder of the patriarch. There, siblings Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode discover a collection of magical keys, each with its own unique powers, that unlock secret doors. But as they learn to harness the keys’ magic, they find themselves also facing dark forces determined to claim the keys for evil purposes.
Emilia Jones plays the role of Kinsey, Connor Jessup as Tyler, and Jackson Robert Scott as Bode. The rest of the cast is made up of Darby Stanchfield, Laysla De Oliveira, Griffin Gluck, Aaron Ashmore, Hallea Jones, Brendan Hines, Kevin Durand, Sherri Saum, and others.
