Today, Netflix released a sizzle reel for a bunch of the upcoming shows and movies it will be airing in 2025. The reel is pretty clever: it follows a woman who's trying to surreptitiously watch Netflix during a boring meeting at work. She's then transported into the worlds of her favorite shows; she encounters the guards from Squid Game, dons a gi to fight with the cast of Cobra Kai, gets a white wig and fights a monster like Geralt from The Witcher, and more. The actress was really put through her paces here:
For the most part, we don't actually see footage from any of these shows, just the dramatized reenactments. But there's one important exception: at around the 1:20 mark of the trailer, we actually see a clip from the upcoming second season of Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams. The Netflix X account excerpted that bit:
So here we have Wednesday staring down Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan), who killed a bunch of people in his "Hyde" form in the first season. He was caught and taken to Willowhill Psychiatric Hospital, where he was chained topless to a wall. Seems like it's violating the health code but whatever.
We don't know what exactly Wednesday will get up to in season 2 nor do we know when exactly the new episodes will drop, except that they're coming out this year. But we know that director Tim Burton is coming back to lend his distinctive visual style to the project, as are cast members Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Moosa Mostafa, Victor Dorobantu, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo.
Cast members Percy Hynes White, Jamie McShane and Naomi J Ogawa are reportedly not coming back. But as long as Ortega and Burton are there, people will be interested. And Wednesday is just one of the big shows returning to Netflix this year:
