Okay, listen up. September is officially here, and with it comes the release of a bunch of exciting new and returning shows. Of course, it can get really overwhelming with there being so many options. But don't fret. You don't have to worry about wasting your time or picking the wrong one.
We've done the homework for you already, narrowing it down to the absolute must-watch series that will keep you hooked and entertained throughout the month. If you plan to watch any TV shows in September, these three fantasy and sci-fi titles should be at the very top of your watchlist.

Wednesday season 2 part 2
- Netflix release date: Sept. 3, 2025
Wednesday finally returned with its second season in August, but we didn't get to see the entire installment then. Instead, Netflix decided to split the season into two batches. Almost a month later, fans will finally get to see the second and final batch. The remaining four episodes of season 2 are set to drop on Netflix tomorrow, and we're ready to see how things wrap up for our favorite gothic teen.
Things weren't looking too good for Wednesday at the end of the part 1 finale, but based on the part 2 trailer, she seems to be more determined than ever to take down Tyler/the Hyde and stop Enid's impending death. The thrilling trailer also teased the return of a beloved character from season 1, so there's much to be excited about! Jenna Ortega reprises the titular character, Wednesday Addams.
Don't go thinking the second season will be the last we see of Wednesday. A third installment has already been confirmed!

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3
- AMC and AMC+ premiere date: Sept. 7, 2025
One of the best Walking Dead spinoffs is finally slated to return with its third season this month. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 sees the return of Norman Reedus as the titular character and Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier as they continue their perilous journey to find their way back home, facing new challenges, unfamiliar lands, and the harsh realities of the Walker apocalypse along the way.
Besides Reedus and McBride, the season 3 cast includes Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, Alexandra Masangkay, Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbués, Greta Fernández, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usín, and Stephen Merchant. Unlike Wednesday season 2 part 2, which will see all episodes drop at once, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 will air its episodes weekly on AMC. It will also stream on AMC+. A fourth and final installment is also confirmed.

Gen V season 2
- Prime Video premiere date: Sept. 17, 2025
Gen V fans have had to wait a painfully long time for the second season, but that wait is almost over. The highly anticipated second installment is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video this month, and very soon, we'll be reunited with our favorite supes at Godolkin University.
Serving as a spinoff of The Boys, Gen V takes place at a college for young superheroes where they train to control their powers and compete against one another for the chance to earn a spot among the elite supes running the world. In Gen V season 2, Marie and the other students return to Godolkin University, where a new dean is training supes to become soldiers. As tensions rise between humans and supes, they stumble upon a secret program that could change the whole game.
Jaz Sinclair reprises the lead role as Marie Moreau. Also returning are Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and others.
