Today, Prime Video dropped the fourth episode of The Wheel of Time season 3, and it was a doozy. "The Road to the Spear" tightened its focus on Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski), the prophesied hero known as the Dragon Reborn, following his footsteps through the mystical Aiel city of Rhuidean. As Rand passed through a forest of glass columns, he was transported back in time to relive key moments in the lives of his blood ancestors. It was a stunningly beautiful hour of television.
If you enjoyed it like we did, you're probably champing at the bit for the next episode. After all, as good as Rhuidean was, it didn't feature many important cast members like Perrin (Marcus Rutherford), Mat (Dónal Finn) and Nynaeve (Zoë Robins). What are they all getting up to while Rand is on his trippy vision quest?
We'll find out in The Wheel of Time season 3 Episode 5, which is titled "Tel'aran'rhiod." As for when it drops, here are the details:
What day of the week does Wheel of Time come out?
The Wheel of Time drops new episodes on Thursdays, but if you're a night owl, you may want to just stay up late and catch the episode the very instant that it drops. If that's you, then you'll want to know that the exact time episodes drop is 12 am PT / 3 am ET on Thursday mornings.
So The Wheel of Time season 3 Episode 5 will premiere on Thursday, March 20th at 12 am PT. The episode's title, "Tel'aran'rhiod," is the name of the Dream World, which we've seen characters like Egwene, Rand and Lanfear visit. The book this season is based on, The Shadow Rising, features a plotline where Egwene learns how to better navigate this ethereal dimension. Considering that the show has already set this storyline up by having Egwene encounter the Wise One Bair (Nukâka Coster-Waldeau) in a dream, it's a safe bet that she will have an important role to play in next week's episode.
As hard as it is to believe, we're already halfway through The Wheel of Time season 3. But there's plenty of good stuff left to come; we've seen the whole season, and were blown away by it. Rest assured, if you enjoyed Rhuidean, you're going to find a lot more to love in The Wheel of Time season 3. As for when the rest of the episodes come out, you can find our complete release schedule for the season here.
