Doctor Who: Anna Shaffer Set to Join Class

As the latest Doctor Who spinoff, Class, continues to film, we keep getting new details about the show. Another addition to the cast has been announced in Harry Potter actress Anna Shaffer.

Even though the latest Doctor Who spinoff, Class, has continued to film, we still do not have a lot of details. We know the main characters involved, and we are already familiar with the setting at Coal Hill School, but few other details have emerged. We have been given little teases, but it is still not enough for us to know, definitively, who or what will be involved in the show.

However, little details are starting to filter out. Now, we have learned about a new member of the cast, as Harry Potter actress Anna Shaffer has been added to the show. While we do not have many details about her character, we do know that she will be named Rachel.

That is, however, all we really know about her. Is she going to be an alien in disguise? Is Rachel going to be an ally or an enemy to the main characters? Will she play a love interest, as she did attempt to slip a love potion to Harry Potter himself in one of the movies? The possibilities as to what Rachel could be, especially in the Whoniverse, are endless.

It will certainly be interesting to see what direction Rachel takes when Class is aired. With the show coming from the viewpoint of the students, it is likely to have a much different feel and tone than Doctor Who would. It will also be interesting to see if this show is geared towards a younger audience, potentially serving as a bridge to get the younger fans interested in Doctor Who as they get older.

As filming continues, new details will continue to emerge for Class. Right now, we know that Anna Shaffer will be involved with the show, although many of the details of her character remain unknown.
