Doctor Mysterio returns to movie theaters for the first time. Will you be there?
As is well known, the Doctor Who Christmas special has its usual air date of December 25th on televisions around the world. According to an official press release from BBC Worldwide North America and Fathom Events, the upcoming 2016 Christmas special, ‘The Return of Doctor Mysterio,’ will be shown in approximately four hundred and twenty movie theaters around the United States. The showtimes will be at 7 PM local time on Tuesday, December 27th and Thursday, December 29th.
In addition to the main feature, which runs sixty minutes, there will be two exclusive bonus features:
A New Kind of Superhero will provide insight into the “concept of a modern superhero” according to Doctor Who.
A special Christmas Doctor Who Extra will give a behind-the-scenes look at the “making of this year’s special, with appearances by stars Peter Capaldi and Matt Lucas, and showrunner and executive producer Steven Moffat.” It is unknown at this point whether or not this will be different than the behind-the-scenes featurette that was released in October.
