Jeffrey Wright Gives Fans A Status Update On Westworld Season 2

Jeffrey Wright, who plays Bernard on Westworld, gave fans a wonderful update regarding Season 2’s production on Twitter.

Jeffrey Wright has endeared himself to fans with his portrayal of Bernard on HBO’s Westworld. Wright’s character played a huge role in Season 1, and he will likely play a pivotal part in the show’s second season. Sadly, we don’t know much about Season 2’s status, but we know it’s nearing the end of filming.

As of the most recent update, the show is set to be in post-production until April. However, fans are practically in the dark regarding any other facet of Westworld Season 2. Thanks to a status update from Jeffrey Wright, we know the status of his filming schedule.

Jeffrey Wright Wraps Filming On Westworld Season 2

Bernard Lowe himself, Jeffrey Wright, is very active on social media and constantly interacts with the Westworld fan base. On January 14, Wright took to his Instagram account to share some Westworld fan art, but he caused a commotion, when he seemingly confirmed the show’s release month. Just a day later, Wright shared a similar post on Twitter, but this time, he confirmed that he has almost wrapped filming:

The text from the Twitter post reads as follows:

"“Just wrapped the last full week of filming for #Westworld Season 2. Two more days to go. Ready for another trip, this Spring? Get your bags packed.”"

The confirmation I great for fans, because it makes Westworld Season 2 a bit more tangible. After waiting over a year, it’s easy to forget that the show is on the way, but updates like this help make it real. Also, 6 months of filming is quite the endeavor, but it makes sense, given that it’s over 10 hours of entertainment.

As of January 14, Wright still has 2 days left of filming, which is great news for Season 2’s release date. It’s likely Wright plays a major role in the coming season. So, if he wraps this week, it means that we could be looking at an early spring premiere (possibly April). Hopefully, we will learn more about Westworld Season 2 in the coming months.
