Final Quest for the Throne throne revealed…and found

HBO has been marketing the final season of Game of Thrones hard with its #ForTheThrone campaign. The latest piece of the puzzle, Quest for the Throne, involved hiding six Iron Thrones around the world and challenging fans to find them. Today, that ends.

But before we get to that, let’s review this weird fun journey. First, there was the Throne of the Forest, located in Puzzlewood in the UK.

Then there was the Throne of the North, because Jon Snow needs a place to sit, am I right? This one was in Björkliden, in Sweden.

I’m guessing the Throne of Valyria came with its own dragon to guard it…or maybe Stone Men come out and give you greyscale if you try and claim it.

The Throne of Joy is appropriately located outside the Tower of Joy…only, it’s a trick, as it was located at the Castle of Atienza near Madrid and not at the Castillo de Zafra, where the actual Tower of Joy was filmed. Oh, HBO, you had us going for a moment there.

The Throne of Ice looks like it is sitting just north of the Wall. The Night King must have been feeling left out.

And finally, the Throne of the Crypt. As usual, HBO unveiled this throne with three different videos, one showing it at dawn…

Anyway, it took all of three seconds for someone to find this last throne, hidden in a city as it was:
