“The Walking Dead Universe” panel: October 5, 10:30 a.m. – Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden

There’s a lot going on this year for fans of The Walking Dead. There’s a 10th season approaching, a spin-off series in the works, and a trilogy of movies about Rick Grimes slated for sometime in the future. That’s why the notion of “The Walking Dead Universe” panel on October 5 is so exciting. Not only will fans be able to get an early look at the 10th season during the exclusive screening, but they might learn more about the various TWD projects currently in production. It’s about time we heard some news about the spin-offs and movies — even if it’s just a title or definitive release date.

The Expanse panel and screening: October 5, 10:45 p.m. – Javits Main Stage

Fans of The Expanse are particularly curious to know what season 4 holds for the series now that the show moved from to Amazon Prime Video after SyFy cancelled it. From what we’ve seen so far, it appears that the change of scenery won’t have much of an effect on the quality of the series — but fans will find out for sure when the fourth season premieres at the convention on Saturday.

Not only will fans of The Expanse be able to catch the first episode a little early, but they’ll be able to hear the cast speak about the new episodes. The lineup for the panel includes showrunner Naren Shankar, along with Cas Anvar, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Frankie Adams, Cara Gee, Steven Strait, Wes Chatham, Dominique Tipper and Burn Gorman.
