The Frog Lady

The Frog Lady was a highlight this week. Her mission to deliver her eggs and the Child continually stealing her eggs (which in itself is a callback since Baby Yoda likes to eat frogs) provided some much-needed comedic relief for this chapter. However, we don’t know much about her or her species, since there’s a language barrier between her and Mando. This could be the first time we are seeing her species in any Star Wars media.

We know that she looks and acts like an amphibian, she uses her tongue to grab objects, produces eggs, and hops away from dangerous situations. But we don’t know the name of her species nor anything about their homeworld or culture This may be explored in next week’s episode, as this chapter did not end with the group reaching their destination. Hopefully, we will learn more about this species soon!

Also, did you catch who voices Frog Lady? She is portrayed by Misty Rosas, but Dee Bradley Baker provided the voice for her character. Fans might recognize the name, as Baker voiced many characters in animated shows like The Clone Wars and Rebels, including fan-favorites like Captain Rex and Commander Cody.
