Take the Black: Geeked Week breakdown: Wednesday, One Piece, The Sandman and more!

It's a quiet week in Westeros, but not anywhere else. We had a TON of shows to talk about on this week's podcast.

It's time for Take the Black, our weekly live podcast show where we go over all the latest news from the realms of fantasy and science fiction. This week our usual host Dan Selcke is out having secret adventures somewhere, so guest host Natalie Zamora swung by the pod to discuss the absolute bounty of news we got in the past seven days.

Yes, it was a quiet week in Westeros, but maybe that was just because everywhere else went wild. Netflix held its Geeked Week celebration last week, and gave us updates on everything from Wednesday to One Piece to The Sandman to Arcane and so many more that it would be the height of folly to list them all. That's what today's show was for, after all! Watch:

We didn't only talk about Netflix's new shows, though I did spend a solid few minutes geeking out about the new teaser for the Devil May Cry anime. While the streamer was busy getting us hyped for its future projects, we've had plenty else to watch in the meantime. The Penguin premiered on Max, and we both loved it. Agatha All Along is bringing the spooky season vibes on Disney+. And on Prime Video, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is powering through the final few episodes of its second season. We've been watching a lot! And of course, we closed things out with the world-famous WiC News Lightning Round.

The Take the Black Podcast is on iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube Music! Please subscribe and download from there if you can. Also, you can help us out by giving us a five-star rating and leaving a friendly comment! We’re also now on Spreaker, so try us there, as well.

We stream new episodes of Take the Black every Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. CST, so if you enjoy what we do feel free to swing by our YouTube or Facebook page around that time to take part in the discussion! Who knows what we'll be talking about next week? There's at least a 93% chance it'll be something tangentially related to Game of Thrones, and those are pretty good odds! See you then.
