Welcome to Take the Black, the weekly chat show where we talk about all things sci-fi, fantasy, movies, TV and books, plus whatever else is entertaining us at that given moment. We have a ton of stuff to cover today, starting with early reviews for two upcoming sci-fi shows: Dune: Prophecy, which is about to air its first season on HBO/Max; and Silo, which is about to air its second on Apple TV+. Happily, both are well worth watching! Check out the latest episode of Take the Black below to get all the inside info:

Actually, we talk about Dune: Prophecy and Silo after we run through some of the breaking news about the Game of Thrones universe, which has had a lot of chatter around it lately. Apparently there's a Game of Thrones movie in development? And maybe a new thing starring Maisie Williams (Arya Stark)? What's the latest on the very entertaining feud between HBO and Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin? And let's not forget that a new Game of Thrones prequel called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is coming out next year; look out for a full trailer very soon.

We also have to spare a few minutes for The Penguin, which wrapped up in grand style over the weekend. That show surprised everyone to become one of the buzziest hits of the fall. Will Dune: Prophecy be as big a smash when it takes over The Penguin's Sunday night timeslot in a few days? It seems there's no end of interesting things to watch lately.
