Wednesday fans are shipping a potential new couple, but one of the stars is casting doubt on it happening.
As soon as Wednesday debuted in 2022, fans were quick to love the amazing bond between Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) and her werewolf roommate Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers). The clash of the sardonic, twisted Wednesday and the bright and chipper Enid made the pair wonderful to watch. It also quickly inspired a fandom pushing for a possible romance between the pair.

Season 2 brought a wrinkle into things as Wednesday had a vision of Enid dying. Her attempts to stop it pushed Enid away, threatening their friendship. Wednesday had aid in the form of Agnes (Evie Templeton), a classmate who could turn invisible and spent most of her time stalking Wednesday.
Fans are shipping Enid and Agnes together
Naturally, Enid and Agnes had some clashes over Wednesday’s friendship. Agnes also crossed a line dressing up just like Wednesday, earning her a bitter lecture. She was down in the dumps when she met Enid at a school gala, sad over losing her boyfriend. Wednesday enlisted the pair in a plot to expose Principal Dort (Steve Buscemi) as a murderous con man. That involved Enid and Agnes doing a spectacular dance number set to Lady Gaga's “The Dead Dance.”
That dance has sparked theories that the pair could become more than friends. However, one actress has a good reason why it won’t happen.

Emma Myers doesn't think it will happen
Speaking to TV Line, Myers pointed out that a key issue in any romance between Enid and Agnes is the age gap. Enid is supposed to be 16 (Myers is 23) while Agnes is meant to be 13 (Templeton is 16). That automatically shoots down the chances.
“I say Agnes is a baby, a child. Maybe ship Enid with somebody her own age. That’s what I’ll say,” Myers definitively stated.
Of course, there’s another major stumbling block for Enid and anyone, including her ex, Ajax. To save Wednesday, who’d been buried alive, Enid had to “wolf out” in a full moon, which could trap her in werewolf form forever. That sets up season 3 of Wednesday (with Agnes possibly helping), trying to save her friend.

“I just hope I’m not a werewolf for too long,” Myers said. “Keep me as a werewolf for a few episodes, but at least by halfway, please let me be a human.”
Many fans will agree with that, as the Enid/Wednesday bond is key to the show, as proven by a fantastic episode where they swapped bodies. Yet Agnes making them into a supernatural “Three Musketeers" (as she herself said) only makes Wednesday a delight to wait for season 3.
Both seasons of Wednesday are now streaming on Netflix.
