Wednesday Season 3 may not be coming out this year, but it won't be long till this supernatural mystery comedy returns to Netflix. Actor Hunter Doohan has revealed when the show will enter production, and based on the schedule he shared, it aligns with the rumored release date reported by Deadline back in early January.

During his appearance on Michael Rosenbaum's podcast, Doohan revealed that Wednesday season 3 is about to enter production and will last around seven to eight months. He also noted that production will once again take place in Dublin, Ireland, the same filming location for season 2. So far, he hasn't teased season 3's potential release date.

"We're about to go start shooting Season 3... We usually shoot for like seven, eight months. And we're going back to Dublin. That's where we shot season 2," he said."

Doohan played Tyler Galpin in Wednesday seasons 1 and 2. When he was first introduced, he was seen as Wednesday's (Jenna Ortega) potential love interest, only for it to be revealed that he was a hyde. By season 2, he was captured and sent to Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital, only to escape. During the finale, he joins Isadora Capri (Billie Piper) as she offers him a place in a support system for hydes in hiding and asks him to leave Jericho together. Based on the actor's comments, Tyler could reunite with Wednesday once more.

What do we know about Wednesday season 3?

Wednesday season 3 was greenlit weeks before season 2 aired on Netflix. While plot details for its next installment have yet to be revealed, season 2 ended things on a cliffhanger. During the finale, after Wednesday saves her brother, Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez), from Isaac (Owen Painter) and Françoise (Frances O'Connor), she learns that Enid (Emma Myers), who has permanently transformed into an alpha wolf, is still out there and plans to find her, along with Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen) and Thing. Additionally, Wednesday gets a vision that Aunt Ophelia (Eva Green) is still alive and is being held captive by Grandmama Frump (Joanna Lumley). The season ends with Aunt Ophelia writing "Wednesday must die" in blood on the walls.

Wednesday Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on Netflix.
