With regards to the episodes they are from Hosters funeral is not till Episode 3 and Jaime still hasn’t lost his hand in Episode 3.

Both things I would have guessed at happening earlier, I’m guessing the Jaime thing does happen in Ep3 just later than when the pic is from.

If you go to the GoT facebook page and look up the photo there ‘Talisa Westerling’ is in the title. I’m chalking it up to a titling error. They got the character Oona Chaplin was playing wrong before. Also in my opinion the whole idea of her being secretly a Westerling would 1) add nothing to the story 2) be over-convuluted and confusing to non-readers and 3) make Robb look like even more of an idiot than he already does. It’s an error most likely.

She was in Renly’s tent in episode 4 (when he meets Littlefinger). That’s where the pic was from. So there was no mistake.

Ok, some remarks upon the episodes :

Beric appearing in episode 7 surprises me ! I would have guessed Arya to be with the Hound at that point… seems we will have Arya and the Hound only for three episodes.

Blackfish is episode 3… and since I guess that scene is the first one with the Tully, I guess that means we wont have them introduced until episode 3.

Don’t know why that would be, since Tywin dies after the PW in the books, so him being alive in the last episode could also mean the PW won’t happen yet. However, in interviews a few actors have let slip (it appears) that Tywin dies this season, so that may suggest the PW does happen. But, I believe it possible that D&D will do the PW out of order and it may not happen this season. Three weddings is a bit much – even just from a budgetary standpoint, let alone viewer fatigue. Also, if they have Jofferey die and then Tywin die in the same (final) episode as people are speculating, and that happens just after the RW, to be honest that’s too much. Not enough time to process and let the characters react.

To make a bit more of an indepth comment…

I don’t know why they didn’t give Thoros’ outfit some red to draw attention to his status as a priest of R’hllor like Melisandre’s got, but he doesn’t look bad regardless. Small nitpick.

Sophie’s becoming a real beauty, isn’t she? Though my immediate reaction to that shot was, “why the hell’s she wearing a cross?” lol. I guess it won’t appear so crosslike in the series though.

Beric looks like death warmed over IMO, and I can’t wait to see him take on Sandor.

Someone commented on how Brienne looked anxious with that sword there, but to me that doesn’t mean much. I don’t remember the book it happened in, but if this is the part where she has to kill those Stark bannerman, I could understand her hesitation and awkwardness vibe of that shot.

My heart kind of breaks a little bit every time I see Cat for this season, this photo made me especially sad. I don’t quite know why. Ms Fairley owns the role, I love her.

Good to see Meera and Jojen, they both look really suited to their parts. I wonder if they’ll allude to a budding romance between Meera and Bran that a lot of readers feel in the text.

I’m just really pleased with all of it.

Just noticed the Beric pic is from ep7, does that mean Arya is still with them that late in the season?

Sounds like they’re leaving most of the Hound/Arya travels until next year, which is a great idea! Obviously not all of it though. They could easily expand on that storyline and end exactly where the book ends (Next year) so that they don’t have to create a whole new set/location too early.

My only thought: she’s told that she’ll be free from King’s Landing that evening (Joff/Marg wedding) and she hasn’t heard of the RW yet.

And as for the picture of Tywin, he dies after the Mountain battles the Red Viper, which is so long after the PW.

Haha, people are drawing a lot of conclusions from a few promotional pictures. It seems pretty reasonable that they’d want Sansa’s reaction to the RW to happen on camera in ep 10,so she could be smiling seconds before finding out. Literally the end of the first chapter that Arya is with Sandor is when he tells her they are going to the Twins so it would stand to reason she is with the Brotherhood late into the season (although having Thoros in ep. 1 appears to be a deviation- I’m guessing him and Beric are with the Lem and Anguy’s of the world). What Tywin being in ep. 10 in front of a table has to do with the PW, I have no idea, but I guess it is a post about season 3 on this site, so the comment sections would feel empty without a “(post above on literally any topic) tells me the PW is definitely happening!!” comment. It looks to me like Joff is merely showing Marg how to use the crossbow. Shooting someone isn’t something she seems likely to do.

Glad to see the Queen of Thorns but Oh! how I miss Emma Peel.
Seeing Tywin wearing the pin of the King’s Hand just reminds me of how much better the chain version of the Hand insignia seemed in the books. I wonder why they changed that. Especially since it will become…. ummm… important later.
So no Dontos this season, eh? And the mysteriously ever-present Ros may take his place?? Yikes.
Actually, here’s a theory. Perhaps Dontos will go away and simply not be replaced at all, by anyone, and there will be no middleman between Sansa and… her mystery benefactor in the game of thrones. Think of what Dontos actually does. He could easily be replaced with a series of notes and a constantly changing cast of nameless escorts, boat pilots, coachmen, etc.
And I did NOT imagine Thoros looking like some grizzled nephew of the Greatjohn. Ah well. Glad he survived at all. I’m still wondering how we can possibly meet Arstan Whitebeard without Strong Belwas.

All her and the Hound do after the RW wedding is wander around for a handful of chapters, and as much as it is to read, it doesn’t make for very compelling television. I’d say they’ll prolly make the crossroads showdown/hound “death” the finale content, with her boarding the boat one of the final scenes of ep 10. You can’t let the coin play for more than a single season, because the memory of most viewers isn’t that long.

Also her adventures in Braavos is a shitload of content, with all sorts of potential for expanded characters/locations/plotlines, so the sooner they get started on that the better. I don’t think any of the timelines conflict either.

I personally hope that, instead of Arya getting knocked out at the RW, Sandor could just drag her off while she screams and cries. It would be a fantastic parallel to Ned’s death. Yoren made sure she didn’t see her father get beheaded, and Sandor will realize what’s going on in the Twins, and make sure she doesn’t see her brother and mother slaughtered.

But his outfit is not black. It’s mostly dark brown with some dark green. Compare it to Jon Snow’s.

What I’m finding more interesting than all the shit that’s been endlessly repeated in the comments so far is that Thoros has one sword stored in his belt and another one on his back. A bidenhänder as a secondary weapon? Can’t wait to find out. ;)

Lena Headey is not pregnant. The first MGOT vlog shows her with Margaery and she is not expecting, also there is a scene of her running away in the HBO 2013 preview. Oh and she was not pregnant at the Emmys in September. Nor when she was filming Dredd earlier this year. So where she found 9 months to do so if that’s the case amazes me.

Just looked up when the trailer for season 2 came out last year. It was Jan 30th. Any chance we might be getting a trailer tonight? (As its the last weekend in Jan) or if not within the next few days???

One can hope. Maybe the release of these photos are a sign that trailers are coming.

We got the trailer on 29th January. Then the pictures on 9th February.

Any news about the music/soundtrack?Are we going to get a new composer? I like what Ramin Djawadi has done so far, still doesn’t anyone think that it is time for something new?

I still believe that Harry Gregson-Williams would be an awesome composer to join GoT in case Djawadi leaves…listen to the sample below, it is a short piece from “X-Men Evolution: Wolverine” entitled “Kayla”, not necessarilyan appropiate example for GoT but I think a great musical piece nonetheless!

I know there is a small chance of Djawadi leaving, which I don’t mind in the least, but just in case if it ever happened, I think Harry Gregson-Williams would be amazing for GoT!

Oohhhh what is that from? 30 Rock?

I’m assuming Arya will spend just about the whole season w/ the BWB and the only ‘Arya & The Hound’ happening in season 3 will consist simply of him taking her and them immediately being at the Twins for the RW and thats it. Their won’t be a travelog of him taking him to her mother.

Then the next season (season 4) will consist of The Hound attempting to take her to her aunt in The Eyrie which will be expanded to include what they can from the books of their pre-RW interactions and then season 4 end with her leaving him and getting on a ship to Braavos.
